1. Brake Issues

Mercedes CL-class and GL-class often experience issues with braking. Common signs of brake issues include the car pulling to one side, shaking steering wheel when braking, soft brake pedal, screeching sounds, and a pulsing brake pedal.

19. Limp-Home Mode Activation

Newer cars are equipped with a function that allows you to tone down the functions of your vehicle. When the electronic parts of your car aren’t functioning correctly, this is a really convenient mode.

The A-class Mercedes calls it the Limp-Home mode. It is activated when there are some serious issues with your car, most often the transmission. There is a part in the transmission that isn’t welded very well.

You’ll likely have to have the part welded properly. In some cases, you might also have to have the part completely replaced. If the clutch was also damaged, you may need to change the gearbox as well.

20. Air Suspension Failure
